We are seeking Business Development Professionals with a strong network to expand our national footprint by providing a local and focused presence in one of the following areas: Fairfield County Connecticut/New York City, Boston, Tampa, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale. The successful candidate will establish, foster and expand accounts and business relationships in the area, offering our full range of Information Technology staffing and solutions services.

Job Description:

  • Develop client relationships and drive revenue within our Professional Staffing and IT Project offerings
  • Generate new leads and direct clients for IT Staffing and Technology projects
  • Negotiate contract rates with clients, with a focus on company profitability goals and objectives
  • Coordinate efforts with the recruiting team and Talus management
  • Maintain required documentation in the Talus internal CRM/Applicant Tracking System


The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Cultivate, generate & grow large scale relationships for new accounts
  • Build credibility; establish the Talus ‘brand’ and gain market share within your assigned territory
  • Come to the table with a plan for generating revenue within a 90 day timeframe
  • Have the ability to comply with client processes, performance and acceptance standards
  • Negotiate pricing terms & conditions that meet client and internal Talus objectives
  • Have a commitment to teamwork, including understanding the value of utilizing internal systems and following company procedures as directed
  • Display a highly professional appearance, be an effective communicator and work with a high level of integrity



  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales/business development role – preferably IT Staffing or Solutions
  • 'Hunter' mentality with the demonstrated ability to identify, penetrate and develop new accounts
  • Experience identifying prospective clients, developing and implementing a marketing plan in a competitive territory
  • Strong networking, relationship building, and cold calling skills with experience generating, retaining and significantly growing strategic accounts
  • Strong sense of urgency and understanding of the staffing and solutions sales cycles
  • Ability to work independently, excellent time management skills, ability to identify and focus on those business opportunities that offer the best chance for success and long term profitability
